Q: Is the Indivo X server also the reporting server?

A: Indivo X provides in-depth reporting within a given medical record, including the list of allergies, medications, etc.. for a given individual. Indivo X purposely does NOT provide reporting across users, as it is a PCHR with individual user control. For reporting across patients, the recommended approach is to build an Indivo App that consents users to share their data, then aggregate the appropriately permissioned data into a separate database outside of Indivo.

Q: Will hospital data connectivity be based on CCR/CCD? Can hospital data connectivity be based on HL7 CDA/CCD?

A: We're exploring all options right now. We're not sure yet if CCR will provide enough fine-grained detail for all datatypes, or if CCD will be consistent enough across sites that it will be meaningful for us to say we are "CCD compatible." Feedback from the community on this topic is welcome!

Q: Will the immunization app include adverse event reporting to CDC and FDA?

A: The immunization app we're planning on building is still in its very early stages, so we haven't yet determined this. We do think PCHRs are great for adverse-event reporting.

Q: Who oversees and manages community contributions to the Indivo X code base?

A: We do. We are planning a governance process which will initially be managed by Children's Hospital Boston, and which will include external contributors over time.

Q: Are we ready to accept patches from the community?

A: We are happy to accept patches. Please submit them as a pull request through our github site

Q: Is there a community of developers to collaborate?

A: We have a developer mailing list for any development or technical questions, and we also collaborate through our github site

Q: Is there support for (push) messaging to events to background applications?

A: We currently do not support this feature.

Q: Why multiple records for a given user? Why not sharing as a solution?

A: This is the result of legal issues related to patients who cannot legally be given control over their records (e.g. children) and someone other than the patient is the owner of the record.

Q: Does Indivo X track access?

A: Yes, it contains an Audit Logging feature. Please see our documentation here
